Inès Halimi
Composer, singer, pianist, conductor
A true "one-woman orchestra", Inès Halimi is a multi-talented artist: composer, singer, pianist, conductor, writer and teacher. Artistic director of the Compagnie …Sans Oublier…, she creates and produces multidisciplinary shows blending music, theatre, literature, dance, painting and film.
Born in Paris in 1993, with an unusual background combining classical music and jazz studies from childhood, she has developed a wholly distinctive musical world, rich in sounds, influences, and complementary aesthetics.
During her final year of studies at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in 2018, she founded the Compagnie …Sans Oublier…, within which she developed her poetic, musical and dramaturgical language. She partners with artists she admires to create multidisciplinary shows: Giacometti ou le Jeu des Mots (2019), Mon père sur mes épaules (2020), Rencontres (2022). In 2023, she made a short film entitled Dialogues hébraïques, performing, singing and dancing alongside Gabriel Arenas Ruiz, fresh from the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. In 2025, she created Prières with the Quatuor Ellipsos — her fifth creation exploring the "sacred and profane" — touring internationally for the 2025/2026 season.
Alongside her shows, she composes for internationally renowned artists such as Marina Viotti, Rolando Villazón and the Quatuor Ellipsos, as well as for prestigious institutions such as the Stiftung Mozarteum Festival in Salzburg (2024) and the Opéra de Lausanne (2020).
Her signature? Writing tailor-made works for the artists who inspire her — immersing herself in the world, voice and timbre of the singer or musician for whom she writes.
